2 Ways To Save Money On A Wedding Venue

One of the costliest parts of planning a wedding is renting a wedding venue. Here are two ways to save money on a wedding venue.

Find A Venue That Lets You Use Any Service Providers

A major way to save money on the wedding venue is to find one that lets you use any service providers that you like. This is very important because the cost of the wedding venue can often get so much higher when you factor in that some venues will require you to use their florists, their DJs, and their caterers. In that situation, not only are you being greatly restricted when it comes time to choose, as their DJ may not match your particular tastes and their caterers may not be all that good at the type of cuisine that you enjoy, but you will also usually end up paying a bit more than you would if you could hire an independent service provider.

Consider Being Flexible About The Date Of The Wedding

One of the worst things that you can do when trying to save money on a wedding venue is to be adamant that you are only going to get married on a certain day or during a certain season. The reason for this is that certain days and seasons are going to be much more expensive for you, particularly if you choose to book the venue during the most popular times that everybody else is trying to get married as well.

For example, attempting to get married on a Saturday is a horrible idea when trying to save money because that is the most popular day for people to get married. However, many wedding venues will actually offer you a discount if you move the day of the wedding to one of the other days of the week.

Additionally, there are certain seasons that you will want to avoid when planning your wedding if you want to save on the venue, such as summer. Instead, if you want to save a bit of money, book the wedding venue for sometime during the off-season where prices will be substantially lower because the venue will not have a lot of business during that time of year. If you still want decent weather or to at least get very close to the most popular time of year, consider booking the wedding venue for sometime near the tail end of the off-season.

Renting a wedding venue does not always have to be insanely expensive as there are various options available that can help you save money. Finding a venue that lets you use any service providers and considering being flexible about the date of the wedding are both great ways to save money on the wedding reception venue.
